Iyat’s Rare Salon is excited to launch our new series of courses, starting with our Lash Lift & Brow Lamination courses. Both of these courses will allow our students to gain hands-on experience and leave feeling confident (and certified!) and ready to launch their own career in beauty!

  • Brow lamination is a cosmetic treatment designed to create a uniform, brushed-up look for the eyebrows. The process involves applying a special solution to the brow hairs, which relaxes their structure, allowing them to be styled into a desired shape. Once the hairs are positioned and set, a second solution is applied to lock in the style and maintain the desired position.

    This technique is especially beneficial for individuals with unruly, thin, or sparse eyebrows, as it helps achieve a fuller appearance by fluffing the hairs upwards. The effect typically lasts for several weeks, allowing for a low-maintenance yet polished look. Brow lamination is often paired with tinting to enhance color, ensuring that the brows complement the overall facial aesthetic. Ideal for special occasions or daily wear, this treatment can transform the eyebrow area, providing a sleek and groomed appearance.

  • A lash lift is a cosmetic treatment designed to enhance the appearance of natural eyelashes by making them look longer, curled, and more defined. The process involves applying a special solution to reshape and lift the lashes from the root.

    During the treatment, a silicone rod is placed on the eyelid, and the lashes are gently lifted and adhered to the rod using a safe adhesive. A perming solution is then applied, which works to soften the hair structure, allowing the lashes to take on a new, lifted shape. After the perming solution is processed, a setting solution is applied to lock the curl in place.

    The entire procedure typically lasts about 45 to 60 minutes and is suitable for most lash types. Results can last anywhere from six to eight weeks, depending on individual lash growth cycles and care.

    A lash lift offers a low-maintenance alternative to eyelash extensions, providing a natural-looking enhancement that can make the eyes appear more open and youthful. It is recommended to avoid getting the lashes wet for the first 24 hours post-treatment and to refrain from using oil-based products near the eyes to maintain the lift.
